One Minute as a Day Slipped Past

Another day, another time
Good morning-
The clock has stopped at half-past nine
Another hour to muster the power
Smile and wake up one more time
Another minute- but what is in it?
The shadows have deepened into a darker skyline
Another second and time has ended
The clock is stopped at half-past nine
Wake up, wake up get out of bed-
Wake up- get up, you’ve lost your head
Minute hand over the six
Hour hand over the nine
Couldn’t you see through the facade?
That there really is no more time?
Catastrophic time, falling into lapses
Microscopic crumbling leading into relapses-
Unbidden the world spins round
Bedridden you can’t stand your ground
How do you find yourself so far now?
When there wasn’t a way to be found?
Unbidden the sun dips down -realize-
Dehypnotized you must open your eyes
Remember the day, remember the time
Ninety miles an hour over a double yellow line
A galaxy in motion but you are somehow frozen
Out of line, out of time and free of mind
Hold onto the wheel
Ease off the gas
Let the stillness stand-
One minute as a day slipped past
The second hand is trembling
Self-obtained delusion disintegrating
Illusion has tumbled away
Goodnight-
Nine thirty one and it’s the end of the day
